ISACA requires at least five years’ IT governance experience in the five CGEIT domains to qualify for certification. You can take the CGEIT exam before meeting ISACA’s experience requirements, but the CGEIT qualification will not be awarded until all requirements are met. We do not set specific entry requirements for this course.

The CGEIT exam is not included in this training course. Candidates who pass the exam must have at least five years’ experience in the four CGEIT domains, and are required to apply directly to ISACA for certification.
Upon registration, candidates have a 12-month eligibility period to take their exam. This means that from the date you register, you have 12 months (365 days) to take your exam. Please note that the exam registration fee must be paid in full before you can schedule and take an exam.

Our experience shows that candidates have the highest chance of success if they sit the exam approximately two to four weeks after completing the training course.
The CGEIT exam is a 4-hour exam consisting of 150 multiple-choice questions that cover the respective job practice areas created from the most recent job practice analysis
To earn the CGEIT qualification, an individual must:
1. Pass the CGEIT exam;
2. Adhere to the ISACA Code of Professional Ethics;
3. Agree to comply with the CGEIT Continuing Professional Education Policy; and
4. Provide evidence of appropriate IT governance work experience as defined by the CGEIT Job Practic
